Cognitive stimulation reduces the onset of cognitive regression  for adults living with special needs. It ranges from a variety of enjoyable activities that provide general stimulation for thinking, concentration, and memory in a social and small group setting.

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are daily tasks that individuals with special needs need to perform to live independently in their communities. They include basic physical activities, cognitive stimulation and organizational skills.

Community integration for individuals living with special needs is vitally important to their overall health and wellbeing. Community integration takes place across an individual’s lifespan and is tailored to their stage of life and interests.
