Our interns learn how to provide a continuum of care for adults from the ID and DD population by improving independence in their daily living skills in the home and community setting.

Our interns strengthen their networking and communication skills, as well as develop their technical skills by shadowing medical professionals in local hospital and clinical settings.

Our interns gain knowledge and experience in integrating adults from the ID and DD population in their local community through social interactions in a safe and sustainable way.

Together, REACH AKG offers a comprehensive and hands-on Experiential Learning Internship that supports high school and college students aspiring to pursue a career that supports the unique needs of the ID/DD population.

Cedra is a 2026 graduate of Agnes Scott College, earning a degree in Psychology.
Cedra is deeply committed to promoting both mental and physical wellness within her community. She will pursue her master’s degree in Nursing to further expand her ability to care for and uplift those in need.
Fun Fact:
Cedra played the violin for 4 years.

Marian is a rising senior at Agnes Scott College and studying Psychology.
She is passionate about spreading awareness about accessibility and working with minorities in schools. Her ultimate goal is to be a School Psychologist in a Georgia public school.
Fun Fact:
Marian’s also enjoys sociology.
